Both Beth and Luca have arrived!

Luca Daniel Greenman arrived Friday February 20, 2009 at 8:57 am weighing 3650 grams, or 3.65 kilos or a tad over 8 pounds and 19.5 inches long. He's beautiful! :-) He beat Beth who arrived on Sunday, February 22 at 6:15pm. We're enjoying having both of them here with us and looking forward to seeing Ben in a few days. :-)

News Update :-)

Hello again from Chicago! Wow, it's the middle of February already. So far this year we've had good visits with family and friends and have visited some area churches. We are thankful for the encouragement and love expressed by so many people. Something that someone wrote to us is so true "you have not picked the journey you are on but for some reason God has." Many of you who read this blog know the details of this journey that to date I have not mentioned here in the blog. More about that later. I will say now that our daughter Beth will be arriving soon in Chicago from North Africa where she is working with the Peace Corps. We are very excited to see her! Last year our immediate family was on three continents- Africa, North America and South America. For three weeks, February 22-March 13 we will be in the USA together. :-)

To say the least the past year has been a stretching experience for all of us with Beth in Africa, Ben in the US and Dick, Andrea and I in Argentina. Being in the US at this time is somewhere we didn't expect to be a year ago. It was definitely not in our plans but God knew. He is on this journey with us and we are looking to Him for guidance as we walk with Him.

In the next week or so we will be welcoming a new member into our family. We are embracing him with the love that God has given us and looking forward to meeting him and growing in our love for him. Little Luca Daniel is due to be born on March 2 but the doctor says he may arrive before the predicted date. :-) Beth is looking forward to being here when he is born. He may arrive before she does. We'll let you know. :-)

To those of you who follow this blog, thank you for your prayers. More later....
